Xavi Hernandez is set to join up with his squad in the United States on July 19 after been denied Visa.

Barcelona preseason squad had already flown out of Spain to their camping ground in Miami ahead of four warm up games in the US this month.

Football espana reported that the head coach was prevented from leaving with them, due to an issue over his entry requirements into the country.

The report went further to state that part of US visa rules, requires special permission to visit the country in the case of previous entry into Iran.

The former Spanish international played in the country during his time with Al-Sadd and was not eligible for the usual ESTA visa.

Diario AS reported that Xavi will board a direct flight to Miami from Barcelona at 9am local time, after been cleared by the US authorities to travel.

Robert Lewandowski, who signed from Bayern Munich will also join the team but will be on the bench for their first friendly against Inter Miami that night.

La Blaugrana will also face Real Madrid in an El Classico friendly in the US and the club is hopeful Lewandoski will feature in the game.

Back home, the management will continue with their chase for more signings as they hope to seal the deals of Jules Kounde from Servilla and Caesar Azpilicueta from Chelsea, as they prepare for a challenging season ahead.
