There are few top finishers in the world of football nowadays. But one has proven to be highly reliable. He is no other than Robert Lewandowski, who continues to perform at ridiculously high levels despite his advancing age.

The Pole has been strongly linked with Barcelona, and he has publicly declared his desire to work for them.

The only obstacle for that deal is finances as the catalan club are ready to cash in on the striker if not for their financial situation.

PSG and Manchester United have been mentioned, but according to ESPN, Chelsea are being encouraged to do so as well, and by none other than our head coach and Transfer Tsar, Thomas Tuchel. Unfortunately, ESPN’s report also makes it clear that it is quite unlikely, even if we do managed to come out looking not-terrible from the Romelu Lukaku ordeal.

Supporters see Gabriel Jesus and Christopher Nkunku as potential backup targets, but the former is probably signing with Arsenal while the latter seems unlikely to leave RB Leipzig just yet.

With Lukaku heading to Inter Milan on a season long loan, Chelsea need a top striker for the coming season.
