Reports has it that the Ukrainian Premier League soccer season has been declared over officially following Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The information was released on Tuesday, with the league management saying that the championship will not be played to completion as a result of the war.

It was further stated that The standings as of Feb. 24, when games were suspended as a result of the war, will be declared final and no official award would be made.

Shakhtar Donetsk was at the top of the table at that time before the war began.

The standings could be used to determine teams that will feature in European competitions next season but must be approved by the Ukrainian Football Association.
