Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has stressed his commitment to the club amid reports suggesting he wants a move away. Manchester City and Real Madrid have been linked with the 33-year-old, but he doesn’t think he has anything to prove in another league.
Lewandowski received his 2020/21 European Golden Shoe award on Monday after netting 41 goals in 29 Bundesliga games last season.
The Poland international smashed Gerd Muller’s previous record for the most goals scored in a single German top-flight campaign.
He cruised to the first European Golden Shoe of his decorated career, finishing 11 goals ahead of Lionel Messi.
Lewandowski’s achievements are all the more impressive when you consider he missed a whole month of the campaign through injury.
