At first, it was as if there will be plenty of movement amongst Europe’s top players this summer, with stars like Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski all having undecided future at their various club sides
The Bayern Munich striker has been heavily linked with Barcelona in the summer as the Spanish giant plan to overhaul their squad.
The contract of the Polish international expires in 2023 and the suggestion is that it would be a much less expensive way to bring a top class striker to the club.
In his post-match conference after Bayern Munich secured their 10th consecutive Bundesliga title, Lewandowski remained tight lipped concerning his future.
“I have also read what they are saying in the media. I can only say that it has nothing to do with me.”
“There will be a meeting, something will happen, but we don’t know what. We have to wait.”
Asked where he would prefer to stay next summer, Lewandowski still refused to reveal plans for his future.
“We will see what happens, it depends on both parties.”
With the Catalan club still facing serious financial constraints, making them unfit to compete for big signings. However, adding Lewandoski to their line up won’t be a bad idea.
