Real Madrid rounded up last season on a good note, winning the La Liga and Champions League titles.
But for captain Marcelo, it was the last season for him in the club. His last moment at the club had the Brazilian lifting the Champions League trophy, as he ends a memorable stay at the Spanish capital.
The club announced on Sunday that they would be holding a farewell event at the club’s training ground on Monday at 13:00 CEST.
The program which will be presided over by the club president Florentino Perez will have Marcelo and his family present.
Marcelo joined Real Madrid in 2006 and has won 25 titles, making him the most decorated player in Real Madrid history.
