Report had it that Barcelona had made a 32m euro offer for Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski.

Prompting another German newspaper, Welt, to conducted an interview this Sunday with Oliver Kahn.

The Bayern CEO refuted the claim of an immediate exit for the player, saying that Robert Lewandowski has a contract until 2023 and will honour it.

Kahn further revealed that an offer has been made to him beyond that date.

“We have made a concrete offer to his adviser, otherwise we certainly wouldn’t say that,” he said.

Hasan Salihamidzic, Bayern’s sporting director, has spoken in the same vein as Kahn.

“Lewandowski has a contract until 2023 and he will honour it,” he explained on Sport1.

“We had a conversation with his agent and we made it very clear to him that we envisage the future with him.”

Xavi Hernandez confirmed Barcelona’s interest on Saturday saying that Lewandowski is one of the options the club are looking to sign in the upcoming summer transfer window.

“It is one of the possibilities that he could come, as he has said himself that he wants to leave,” Xavi said.

“There are negotiations in between and it won’t be easy with Bayern, but it is one of the options.”
