
Report has it that Manchester United have finally succeeded in their bid to sign Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong.
United have been linked with a move to sign the midfielder as part of new manager Erik ten Hag’s changes ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League season.
Both clubs have been negotiating on the a possible transfer for the Dutchman.
As part of the negotiations, United have seen a £52m initial bid rejected, as Barcelona hold out for a fee closer to £73m for the midfielder.
Reports from the Daily Telegraph claim a compromise has been reached with United ceding ground due to their desire to complete a deal.
Barcelona are requesting for a fee around £69m, as they intend to recoup the money they spent in signing him from Ajax in 2019.
