Liverpool¬†manager Jurgen Klopp is delighted with the club’s young stars after contributing to a dominant 3-0 win over Norwich City in the Carabao Cup third round. Klopp has fired a warning to his first-team players, suggesting the starlets at Carrow Road are ready for more opportunities.

Liverpool handed debuts to teenage trio Conor Bradley, Kaide Gordon and Tyler Morton on a successful night in Norwich.

Takumi Minamino opened the scoring after just four minutes, latching onto a loose ball inside the area.

22-year-old goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher denied Christos Tzolis an equaliser from the penalty spot on the brink of half-time.

Five minutes into the second half, Konstantinos Tsimikas found Divock Origi with a pinpoint cross, and the Belgian striker headed Liverpool into a 2-0 lead.

After full-time, Klopp paid tribute to the young debutants who helped Liverpool reach the last 16, stating they’re good enough for more first-team opportunities.

He said: “[You get opportunities] only when they are good enough, and they are good enough. That’s it.

“You saw Connor Bradley tonight. The first Northern Irish player to play [for Liverpool] since 1954 sounds too long, but [it’s a] great thing, and he played a super game.

“Kaide Gordon [is] ready for these moments; he’s just ready. 16, he had really good moments. But what impressed me was [his] physicality; he can go on for 95 minutes.
