Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet is set to joining Tottenham Hotspur on a season long loan according to Marca.

With talks advancing smoothly and in a positive way, the 27-year-old is said to be ready for life in the Premier League.

Roma also showed interest in the centre-back but Frenchman is attracted by the idea of playing Champions League football and has already spoken to Antonio Conte.

Barcelona intend to sell the defender outrightly but Tottenham is bent on a loan move.

The negotiation has progress to the stage of  wages for the player.

Football espana reported that Barcelona want Tottenham to pay 100% of his salary but they’re not hugely enthused by that idea.

The report went further to state that the final details will be thrashed out over the coming days but it’s a positive development in what’s proving to be a very busy summer indeed at Camp Nou.
