
Kalidou Koulibaly is edging closer to joining Premier League side, Chelsea. Personal terms have already been agreed. The Senegalese will earn about €10m per season.
Koulibaly was initially linked with a move to Barcelona, but the Catalan club have an eye on Sevilla’s centre-back Jules Kounde. Chelsea’s move for Napoli defender has inspired hope at the Spotify stadium that they could strongly motivate Barcelona to go for Kounde.
Koulibaly will be an excellent signing for the Stanford bridge club as he contributed to Napoli’s Champions League qualification for next season.
The 31-year-old led his country to glory in the just concluded African Cup of Nations. He has made 317 appearances for the Italian club.
