Even with the likes of Barcelona declaring interest in Robert Lewandoski and possible trying to make an offer, Bayern Munich have come out to say that they are not going to sell the striker.

The German club intend to renew his contract and hopes that he commits his future to the Bundesliga champions.

Lewandowski leaving this summer is not an option,” Bayern‘s sporting director, Hasan Salihamidzic, said in an interview on Sky Germany.

“He has a contract until 2023. We will have some talks soon and we will see how they develop and how to act afterwards. We want him to stay.”

“We have the best player in the world and we want him to stay here,” Salihamidzic added.

“We are proud of him and we are very fond of him.

“We haven’t negotiated with him yet, but we will.”

Salihamidzic was asked if Barcelona were to offer 50 million euros for the forward.

“I would not accept it,” he said bluntly.
