Barcelona goalkeeper Neto is set to depart the club according to Mundo Deportivo. The Brazilian international after turning down an offer from Celta, is said to be considering a move to Italy. Napoli being his likely destination.
Barcelona in a bid to restructure their goalkeeping department, are ready to lay off those considered to be surplus to requirements at Camp Nou. A move to further reduce the wage bill to enable the club balance their finances.
Barcelona are currently on a pre-season tour of the United States but Neto as well as other for-sale players like Riqui Puig, Oscar Mingueza, Martin Braithwaite and Samuel Umtiti –are back at the Ciutat Esportiva to find a new home.
Napoli are ready seal a deal with Barcelona for Neto to replace David Ospina who will be heading to Al-Nassr.
The 33-year-old was born in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.
Neto began his career with Cruzeiro before joining Athletico Paranaense, coming to Europe in 2011 with Fiorentina, here he spent four year. He also spent two years with Jeventus before coming to Spain to join Valencia. The shot-stopper joined Barcelona in 2019.
