Barcelona have long list of big names they plan to bring to Spotify stadium this summer and it has been reported that they have moved for the players but the deals are held back by their poor finances.

Part of the summer deals is to work with super-agent Jorge Mendes. Major clubs in Europe are bound to deal with Mendes sooner or later given the number and quality of his clients.

It was reported on Monday that Barcelona heads Joan Laporta and Mateu Alemany met with Mendes to discuss their plans for the transfer window. Topics for discussion include the case of Francisco Trincao, who is likely to join Sporting CP.

However, the other major topic on the table was Bernardo Silva, according to Mundo Deportivo. Mendes and Laporta spent time putting together a strategy of capturing the playmaker from his current club Manchester City.

The midfielder wants to join Barcelona but City are likely to demand something in the region of €100m, a price the Blaugrana can not dish out at the moment, considering their financial situation.

The move for Silva also depends on Frenkie de Jong. The Dutchman would have to leave Barcelona this summer for a fee of around €80m in order to facilitate a deal and should he not, there will be no bid for Silva.

With many stories making rounds, fans are anxious to know how Barcelona will line up next season.
