Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez has pleaded with the club’s hierarchy to make a final effort to keep Ousmane Dembele.
The France international captured the attention of the boss since January, making it impossible to let him go.
Xavi fear they could miss out on some of their desired signings as they wait for the club to close the sale of stakes in their marketing licensing and merchandise assets plus TV rights. According to Dailymail.
Dembélé has constantly rejected offers from Barcelona, prompting the club to look for a suitable replacement.
They identified another proven winger to replace Dembélé; Leeds United’s £60million-rated Raphinha who is now talking to Arsenal.
Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling is also linked with a move away from the club.
Dembele, 23, has interest from the likes of Chelsea and Paris St Germain but talks with those clubs are still to advance as he waits to see if Barca act upon Xavi’s requests.
