Joan Laporta, Barcelona President has reportedly sent a message to Raphinha to reassure the Brazilian the possibility of a transfer to Barcelona.
The club chief reached out to the Brazilian to let him know that he is still needed at Camp Nou, according to Diario Sport.
This came after the club stakeholders agreed on sale of assets to raise money.
Laporta only called to let Raphinha know that the club have the financial power to sign him after club members voted to authorize the sale of merchandizing and television rights.
Raphinha is aware that Barcelona’s plan is to add him and Robert Lewandowski to the attack in time for the 2022-23 campaign.
Reports say that Barcelona have resumed talks with Leeds who have dropped their asking price from €65 million to €50m. Barca are hoping to pay a fee closer to €40m.
