Liverpool FC have completed the negotiation processes and reached an agreement with Portugal club, Benfica to sign striker Darwin Nunez.
The striker is expected to undergo medicals before completing the move.
The deal is thought to be around €100m.
The prolific striker had a wonderful 2021/22 season, netting 26 goals in 28 Primeira Liga games and 34 in all competitions.
Liverpool moved for the 22-year-old after it emerged that Sadio Mane wanted to leave Anfield, prompting the reds to agree a fee with Benfica after a prolonged negotiation process.
Liverpool will pay €80m (£68m) for Nunez, with a further €20m (£17m) due in potential bonuses and add-ons.
The deal for the Uruguayan is the highest for Liverpool surpassing the £75m transfer of Virgil van Dijk at the back end of 2017.
With this deal sealed, Sadio Mane can now take a leave to his preferred club, Bayern Munich as he had stated that he needs a different environment.
