Raheem Sterling has been named Premier League Player of the Month after firing Manchester City to the top of the table in December.
The player had full-time display in five out of seven Manchester City’s Premier League fixtures last December, scoring a total of five goals.
He contributed towards the victories over Aston Villa, Watford, Newcastle, Wolves and Leicester, results that took them to top of the table.
This is the third time Sterling has won the prize, the last win came 2018.
He scored only two goals before December in 11 league outings for City amid a shaky relationship with Guardiola, which is believed made the player to consider leaving the Etihad back in December.
But Sportsmail revealed earlier this month that Guardiola has since patched things up with the player, who is now set to put pen to paper on a new contract before the summer.
