Antonio Rudiger (The Athletic)

Since contract talks between the footballer Antonio Rudiger and Chelsea FC has not yielded any good result after he rejected their first offer during the summer.
Real Madrid players believe Rudiger will join the Spanish Giants on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The defender has only six months remaining on his Chelsea contract and talks between the player and the club yielded no good result.
It is well understood that the German superstar wants double of the initial £140,000 a-week wage, and Real Madrid are willing to pay, even as Rudiger claim that he wants to stay at the Chelsea.

His representatives have also shown that he wants further negotiation with Chelsea.
Chelsea can still turn things around as there is still time but players at the Spanish club are now convinced that Rudiger will join them this summer.
Rudiger played alongside Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard who both left Chelsea to Real Madrid. Goalkeeper Courtois rejected contract extension with Chelsea, forcing them to sell him to the Spanish club in 2018.
Both Hazard and Courtois may have given Rudiger reports on life at Real.
Rudiger will also link up fellow defender David Alaba, who the striker tried to convince to join him at Chelsea but later decided to join Real.

As Chelsea prepare to increase the offer, they are also aware that holding him to ransom could spring up some dressing-room problems.
Defenders like Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta and Thiago Silva are already into the last six months of their contract, while Reece James and Mason Mount are likely to be in line for a new deal at the end of the season.
The club’s interest in Servilla defender Jules Kounde, remains but they are likely to make a judgement on the condition of their squad before deciding the next move in January or Summer.
