
Super Eagles’ position on December 2021 Coca-cola FIFA rankings remains the same ahead of World Cup playoff draws.
The world football governing body just released the end of the rankings for national teams, but the Super Eagles did not change position.
Nigeria was ranked 36th in the world in November, and they maintained the same position in December rankings.
The Super Eagles kept the 5th position in Africa, that guarantees their spot as one of the seeded teams for the 2022 World Cup playoff draws.
Senegal was ranked first in Africa and 20th in the world, followed by Morocco (28th), Algeria (29th), and Tunisia (30th).The top five ranked teams are guaranteed a seeded place in Africa’s World Cup playoffs draw in January.
Super Eagles will be among the seeds when the draw will be conducted.
The draw will produce ten group winners from the second round battle against each other in a two-legged tie to determine the five teams that will represent Africa.
