Barcelona have called a press conference for 11:00 GMT on Wednesday, which will see Sergio Aguero make an announcement regarding his future.

Club president Joan Laporta will accompany the Argentine striker, with everything indicating that he will declare that he is retiring from football due to a heart condition that was first noticed in Barcelona‘s game against Alaves on October 30.

The arrhythmia that Aguero suffered has caused him to not train with his teammates, as the Barcelona doctors revealed that there would be an initial three-month in which they would monitor his progress.

In recent weeks, there have been several reports that have publicised the fact that Aguero has not made the progression that was first hoped, and it now appears as though he will hang up his boots.

Since joining Barcelona on a free from Manchester City last summer, the 33-year-old played a total of five games in all competitions and scored one goal, with that coming in the Clasico against Real Madrid.
