Mikel Arteta says he has never discussed selling Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville suggested the striker could be sold in January.
Arteta also dismissed suggestions he had fallen out with Aubameyang, who was among the substitutes against Everton on Monday.
“I have a very good relationship with my players. I always do the best for the club and the team. The decision is not personal, the decision is just performance and to get the best out of the team,” said Arteta.
“We have never discussed something like this [selling Aubameyang in January]. When players are having difficult what we have to give is support.
