Pep Guardiola says Kevin De Bruyne will start against RB Leipzig as he works his way back to fitness after testing positive for Covid-19 last month.

The Belgium international made his first City appearance in a month as a substitute against Watford on Saturday.

“Kevin got Covid and was growing in his physical condition and it was a setback. Because people who get Covid feel empty in the next days. Tomorrow he will start and we will see how many minutes he can play.”

Guardiola also confirmed striker Gabriel Jesus will miss out with a knock picked up in the weekend win at Vicarage Road.
