PSG face Marseille in Le Classique this weekend

from a Paris saints Germain perspective in the last seven days, but Mauricio Pochettino expects the player to be available to face Marseille in Le Classique on Sunday night.

Icardi dropped out of the PSG squad that beat RB Leipzig in the Champions League in midweek, but he will be among Pochettino’s options when they travel to the south of France.

“Mauro is a strong player psychologically. He is good and available to be part of the team,” Pochettino confirmed in Saturday’s pre-match press conference.

“He has been training with us after the game against Leipzig and will be in the squad for tomorrow’s Classique. It is clear that the club are looking the player, from the president to the players. We are all there to help him at any time.”

As well as Icardi, Pochettino is also able to welcome back Neymar after his recovery from a slight groin problem.

“Neymar is available to play tomorrow,” the Argentine stated.

However, PSG remain without Sergio Ramos, who yet to make his debut for the club since joining last summer, as he will continue to train on his own for a few more days before resuming training with the group.

Another absentee is Leandro Paredes, who has a right quadriceps injury and will not return before the next international break.
