Currently the highest paid player at Old Trafford

Ronaldo has featured for three of the most powerful – both in sporting and financial terms – teams in the major European leagues.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner made his first big move back in 2003, when he joined Manchester United from Sporting CP. At the Red Devils, he won one of his five Champions League titles before joining Real Madrid in 2009 to celebrate the rest of his European successes.

Eleven years later, he parted ways with Los Blancos to sign for Juventus, where he stayed for three seasons before returning to the Old Trafford, where he is plying his trade again this term.

His success on the pitch has seen him financially benefit from his career earnings along with sponsorship, but what is his net worth in 2021 and what is his salary?

What is Cristiano Ronaldo’s net worth?

According to figures compiled from Forbes and Celebrity Net Worth, Ronaldo is the 12th richest athlete worldwide as of 2021, with Lionel Messi being the only footballer to register higher net worth figures than the Portugal captain.

While Messi‘s net worth is 517 million euros, that of his Manchester United counterpart is roughly set at 430m euros.

What is Ronaldo’s salary per week?

Back in the summer, Ronaldo asked Juventus to let him depart Serie A and return to the Premier League for the Red Devils, who also made another couple of big moves by signing Raphael Varane from Real Madrid and promising England winger Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund to strengthen their squad in search of a league title.

Having been the highest paid player in Real Madrid, Juventus and now Manchester United, the 36-year-old forward is currently earning 1.1 million euros per week.

With his contract being set to expire on June 30, 2022, Ronaldo will thus receive 58.5 million euros this season.
